Well, some of it is true.  She did attend church and an all-girl Catholic high school. Perhaps the trouble started when she chose to wear clothing that was non-conforming to the itchy polyester school skirt that looked like a tent? No, that wasn't where it all started. It all started in eighth grade. While her peers were reading "Hello God, it's me Margaret" and worrying about their periods, Evy read a romance novel by Nan Ryan, Kathleen's Surrender, which her mother bought for her, not knowing how smutty it was. This amazing book opened her very naive and sheltered mind to romance partnered with steamy sex. Perhaps not steamy by today's standards - it was the 80s!

This is ultimately how she ended up writing about science fiction, the paranormal, and hot steamy...

Evy found that Kathleen's Surrender opened a door that spirited her away from her everyday life of school, work, and boredom - imagine no internet. It was the perfect escape, slingshotting her to weekly visits to the library where she borrowed as many books as possible from the romance shelves. Yes, you read that right. WEEKLY visits to the library!  It became a compulsion.   

But, alas, as with all journeys, eventually even the shelves in the library couldn't feed Evy's voracious appetite.  She began writing her own tawdry stories and never stopped.

Evy loves writing sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk, paranormal, and contemporary romances.  You can find her plotting her books in upstate New York and immersing herself in the fictional lives of her characters.
